A new portal from the UK Government has gathered together a list of free online digital courses in a variety of topics. Of most interest to readers of this blog will likely be the courses in computing and coding – these courses are for people learning programming / coding (as opposed to learning how to teach programming / coding).
Please note that we’ve not assessed the content of the courses so just passing this on for interest, and not as an endorsement. Course providers include The Open University, Google, Amazon and FutureLearn. The DfE also has its own legal disclaimer.
Also keep an eye out for the DfE’s new Digital Bootcamps
– more information expected [press release]
The Skills Toolkit – “Free digital courses to help you progress in work and boost your job prospects” – this is the landing page which puts the toolkit in context.
