Code Clubs, part of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, are free and open to all school-aged young people. There are some free training sessions coming up (see their Calendar of Events), with bursaries available for school teachers. Code Clubs empower young people to become creative thinkers and resilient learners. Any teacher can run a Code Club – you don’t need a computing background, all you need is curiosity.
For teachers (in-person)
“The Code Club team is running full-day training sessions for teachers who want to start a Code Club, but don’t know where to begin. The training will count towards your continuing professional development (CPD).
The training is open to teachers from both primary and secondary schools. You will learn how to start and run an inspiring Code Club at your school, and build your coding skills and confidence through hands-on Scratch and micro:bit activities.”
Join our free one-day teacher training workshop and enhance your coding skills and confidence so you can start a Code Club at your school.
Bursaries of £150 are available to schools of attending educators to help cover the costs of attending the workshops, such as travel or substitution costs. Lunch and refreshments provided.”
