To see the diary of events in context please see this post, but here is some information about the Playful Computing Conference taking place on 26 June 2026, in Harrow. Paul Curzon (Queen Mary University of London) is speaking at this event, along with Mark Calleja (Raspberry Pi), Sheena Peckham (internet matters) and Nichola Clarke & Sean Kelly (Into Film) in a strand on Responsible Computing (info from this LinkedIn post from Digital Schoolhouse).

Know a teacher who could do with a boost?
The Playful Computing Conference 2026 is running on Friday 26 June at the University of Westminster, Harrow – and right now, during half term, tickets are just £10 with the code HALFTERM (usually £20). [Edit: I have just tried this on 19 May and the code works]
It’s a full day designed specifically for educators who want to feel re-energised about teaching technology – not another box-ticking CPD day. Teachers choose their own sessions across four themes:
🎨 Digital Creativity – tech as a canvas for problem-solving and expression
💰 Cost-free Computing – high-impact teaching on a tight budget
🚀 Career Pathways – connecting the classroom to the creative digital industries
🤖 Responsible Computing – AI, ethics and pupil safety in plain English
Speakers are coming from Raspberry Pi Foundation, Epic Games, Adobe, Into Film, and more.
There’s also an exhibitor area, a networking café, and an after-hours drinks mixer, because the best conversations happen away from the slides.
If you’re a school leader, department head, or just someone who knows a teacher who deserves a day that actually recharges their love for teaching, share this with them.
