The Computing Progression Pathways suggests that at the pink level, on the theme of algorithms, a student should demonstrate that he/she:
- Understands what an algorithm is and is able to express simple linear (non-branching) algorithms symbolically. (Algorithmic Thinking)
- Understands that computers need precise instructions. (Algorithmic Thinking)
- Demonstrates care and precision to avoid errors. (Algorithmic Thinking)

- Like a computer, our brain uses ‘rules’ to help us understand the world.
