Event Three – Saturday 16th December: People’s Palace on Mile End Road (Room PP2)

We will be in the People’s Palace on Mile End Road, a short walk from Stepney Green station. See a photo of the building at the end.

Getting there

The free phone app CityMapper (also available to use on a desktop browser) will tell you the best route for you, just enter your starting point and “People’s Palace (Mile End Road)” as the destination and see the options it suggests.

Maps etc

See the entrance to the building from the main road on Google Streetview. It’s the building through the gates on the left.

Buses

The 25 and 205 routes will drop you closest, 309 near Stepney Green station.

Bus Stop D – Queen Mary University of London is on the same side of the road, with 25 and 205 buses heading towards Bow and Mile End station. This is just a few feet away from the entrance.

Bus Stop E – Queen Mary University of London (towards Aldgate via Stepney Green) – is on the opposite side of the road from the venue.

Bus 309 will drop you close to Stepney Greens tation which is a few minutes’ walk away (or a couple of stops on the 25 / 205 buses).

Tube

Stepney Green tube station (Circle, District, Hammersmith & City lines) is the closest. Exit the station and turn left, take care crossing Globe Road and continue along Mile End Road for a few minutes until you come to the People’s Palace which is opposite a small Sainsbury’s (but we have delicious vegan snacks and not-vegan mini muffins so no need to bring anything).

Mile End tube station (Central, District, Hammersmith & City lines) is a little further away but still walkable. Exit the station and turn left walking along Mile End Road until you come to the Sainsbury’s and cross over the road to the blue railings and large white building (that’s the Queen’s Building, the People’s Palace is on the left).
