This page is a placeholder for this year’s online Barts and Queen Mary Science Festival which will take place on Monday 24 June 2024. Paul Curzon will be speaking, on “The illusion of good medical device design“, from 11.25am to 12pm.
The festival is aimed at older secondary school pupils who might be considering a career in STEM or medicine.
On our CS4FN website we have put together a “Computing and… medicine and health” portal containing blog posts and magazine articles highlighting the links between computer science and medical research, diagnosis or treatment. We’ve also added several archived job adverts (with links to copies of the job descriptions) so that your class can discuss the types of career options available that mix medicine and computing.
We’ll add more information about the festival programme when we have it.
The talks will take place over Teams and Zoom and if you’d like to register your class for a place please contact Jane Batchelor at sciencefestival@qmul.ac.uk.
