Here you’ll find links to files, videos, worksheets and solutions relating to the Arecibo Message series of classroom activities. This is just a skeleton page and we’ll be adding more in time for the 50th anniversary of the message (16 November 2024). There’ll also be instruction sheets and a bit more information about which activities are more suited for which age group.

On the left is a full-colour representation of the Arecibo Message. The version that was sent into space didn’t contain any colour information and was purely a binary message sent by a radio carrier wave.
